As the world begins to accept various aspects of the “New Normal ” students of all ages on the Delmarva Peninsula prepare to begin their school year through means of virtual learning rather than in a traditional classroom setting. While this is a safer way to educate our youth it also poses a problem to those families who are without the necessary tools to prosper in digital learning.
For this reason, Pohanka wants to pay it forward and assist local families with the transition to virtual learning for the upcoming school year. This Saturday, August 29th anyone who purchases a vehicle form Pohanka Toyota of Salisbury will receive a free laptop to keep, give to a loved one or donate to a local student in need.
Pohanka Toyota’s goal is to be able to provide laptops to students all over the peninsula including areas of Delaware, such as Millsboro, Seaford, and Dover as well as various parts of Maryland such as Salisbury and Cambridge.
“We understand these are troubling times in many ways and students have been hit extra hard by this change in our education system,” says Conrad Morgan, Marketing Director of the Pohanka of Salisbury Automotive Group. “We want to do whatever we can to make it as easy as possible on these students since it is a firm belief of Pohanka’s that nothing is more important than the community we live and grow our families in.”
